Ju-Jutsu ist ein modernes, offenes Selbstverteidigungssystem für die Praxis des täglichen Lebens sowie klassische Kampfkunst in einem. Ju-Jutsu ist Ausbildungsinhalt aller deutschen Polizeien. Durch Erfahrungen aus der Praxis (vorwiegend aus dem Polizei-Alltag) wurde Ju-Jutsu mehrmals überarbeitet und bietet ein System, mit der eine jederzeit angepasste Selbstverteidigung möglich sein soll. Es wird nicht vom Angriff ausgegangen, sondern basiert hauptsächlich auf Selbstverteidigungstechniken. Jede Verteidigungstechnik ist gegen mehrere Angriffsarten anwendbar und durch beständiges Üben werden die Bewegungsabläufe automatisiert. In Kombinationen können die Techniken dann sinnvoll verbunden und in der freien Verteidigung gegen freie Angriffe zur echten Kunst der Selbstverteidigung perfektioniert werden.
JU JUTSU kann zum einen als Freizeitsport betrieben werden, aber auch Wettkampf- und Prüfungsteilnahmen zum Erreichen eines höheren Ranges sind möglich.
